You are invited to join the Association for Canadian Studies (ACS) on July 6, 2015 from 12:15 -2:00 pm at the Canadian Museum of History to attend a special panel discussion and launch of a new ACS publication entitled: A-HISTORICAL Look at John A. Macdonald? Seeing Canada’s First Prime Minister in the Context of His and our Times where Jack Jedwab, President of the Association for Canadian Studies, will release results from a national poll survey on "Canadian Assessments of Historic Events and Leaders: Do Contemporary Standards Trump Historic Context". The panel will be chaired by Randy Boswell, Carleton University journalism lecturer, former Postmedia News national history writer and guest editor of the special edition of ACS?s Canadian Themes on John A. Macdonald . Panel members include: Bob Rae, senior partner at OKT ? Olthuis Kleer Townshend LLP, former Premier of Ontario and leader of the Liberal Party of Canada and Professor Patrice Dutil of Ryerson University both of whom have contributed articles to the John A Macdonald publication. The event is a ?brown bag? lunch event and will be held in the Douglas Cardinal Salon room at the Canadian Museum of History, 100 Laurier Street, Gatineau, Quebec.
